The Jubilee Road Races – Marshals

Like any other race, the Jubilee Road Races depends heavily on the volunteers that work behind the scenes to make the event run smoothly and safely for all of the competitors in the race, and we are always grateful for anyone who is able to dedicate a few hours to help out at the races.

Your help is essential in order that the club is able to put on these races.

The format remains the same, with the race HQ being in the same location and the route is the same, but this year we return to a four race series on the following dates.

• 7:30pm Wed 18th May 2011 – 3rd Wednesday in May – supporting Derian House childrens hospice
• 7:30pm Wed 15th June 2011 – 3rd Wednesday in June
• 7:30pm Wed 20th July 2011 – 3rd Wednesday in July – Inter Club Grand Prix
• 7:30pm Wed 17th Aug 2011 – 3rd Wednesday in August

The race starts at 7:30pm and ideally I am looking for anyone who can help from around 6:30pm (up to 7pm) to arounbd 8:15pm; any help from 6pm would also be much appreciated as there is always setting up that needs to be done beforehand as well.

As a thank you for help with the marshaling, Summit Physio have again offered to provide a number of free 30 minute physio vouchers, there are a limited nunber of these so they’ll go in priority of who has done the most races, but there is a goodie bag and bottle of wine for each race marshaled as a thank you token.
